Meet Keith
Keith McDermott is a seasoned golf professional affiliated with Hermitage Golf Club in Ireland. Throughout his career, he has participated in various tournaments under the PGA Ireland, showcasing his commitment to the sport. In 2023, McDermott competed in events such as the Bunclody Pro-Am, where he secured 19th place, earning 198.00 points and €197.92.
His consistent participation in these tournaments reflects his dedication to advancing his professional golfing career.
Hi everyone,
My name is Keith McDermott. I began working in the golf industry in Hermitage Golf Club in 2018, here I realised that I wanted to pursue a career in the PGA and I completed my training programme in 2023. In doing my PGA training it allowed me to play golf in Ireland and abroad while also getting my Level 1 and 2 Golf Coaching Certificates.
This gave me an opportunity to teach all ranges of golfers, from juniors to adults and beginners to high level players. This experience has allowed me to improve my own coaching methods and use new techniques such as Foresight to help golfers improve their game.
I have always had a strong love for golf and have been playing since I was 12. I enjoy competing on the Irish region and I am very excited for another season with pro-am's and championships ahead.

In his new role, Keith will be assisting with coaching programs, organizing events, and ensuring a welcoming and professional atmosphere for all who visit Delgany. His enthusiasm and dedication to the sport make him a fantastic addition to our team.
