
Meet Gavin
Gavin Kavanagh is a distinguished PGA professional with a career spanning over three decades. He embarked on his professional journey in 1994, completing the PGA Training Programme under the mentorship of Gerry Egan. In 1995, Gavin joined Delgany Golf Club as the PGA Head Professional, a position he has held with dedication ever since.
Throughout his tenure at Delgany, Gavin has been instrumental in managing the day-to-day operations of the golf shop, establishing a successful retail business, and earning recognition as one of the leading coaches in the region. His commitment to professional development is evident through his completion of the PGA Level 3 coaching programme , the PGA Director of Golf programme and participation in seminars led by renowned coaches, covering topics such as biomechanics, general fitness, putting techniques, short game strategies, and mental approach.

In recognition of his enduring commitment and contributions, Gavin was honoured as an Honorary Life Member of the Professional Golfers' Association in 2021.
Beyond his professional responsibilities, Gavin is a dedicated philanthropist, particularly in support of Down Syndrome charities. Through various initiatives, he has raised over €500,000 and continues to organize annual Pro-Am events at Delgany to further this cause.
